Churchdown Walks

The Churchdown walks have been starting at 11:00 a.m. however from March 2012 they will be starting at 10:00 a.m.

Annual Membership Fee

£5 for your 2012 membership to the ”WHERE THE HEART IS” SUPPORT AND SOCIAL GROUP is now due.  We have again not put the Membership fee up in spite of inflation!!  Please ask Robin for a form.

Westonbirt Walk

Feed back from "Turkey and Tinsel Break"

We have had very good reports back of the Group’s Turkey and Tinsel break at Fort William. Both the Coach Firm and the Hotel accommodation was very good plus the weather there sunny each day and only when they returned did the weather go back to winter!!

The benefits of regular exercise are well documented but for various reasons 50% of people drop out of fitness programmes within the 1^st 6mths. The development of an exercise DVD is a new, flexible approach to help patients with CHD (Coronary Heart Disease) maintain a life-long active life style.
An exercise DVD has been produced with a collaboration between Glos. Hospitals NHSFT, University of Glos., with funding provided by local Glos. Rotary Clubs.
This DVD provides a home-based option for exercise and is based on guidance set by the British Assoc. for Cardiac Rehabilitation (BACR)

Please let Robin know if any member is not feeling well.  With this in mind we need to have volunteers to visit.  (It always needs two to visit.)
