This is the week we
have our Turkey and Tinsel Break at the Tynedale Hotel, Llanudno.
John has now got his 46 people for
the Break but he will be taking names of people interested for the Waiting
List! ( this must be a popular Hotel or Town!)

Walks
|
Please let Pearl (01452 712058) or Robin know if you
will be coming on the walk. This is so that they can wait for you in
case you are running late etc! Contact by mobile on the morning

Starting on Monday 4th October 2010 we have been doing short walks
around the Churchdown area. These walks have been organized by Graham
(telephone 01452 855343) on the Mondays that Robin will not be leading a walk further
afield. ( Every Monday except the ones below.) The walks start at 11:00 a.m.
but beginning in March 2012 they
will start at 10:00 a.m. The Churchdown
walks all start from the Churchdown Parish Offices in Parton
Road. These walks are being well attended, so please come along and enjoy
our company – and the fresh air!

Monday 13th February 2012

Cannop Ponds Forest of Dean
|
Meet in the Lay-by by Cannop Ponds on the road that leads to Parkend,
for a walk around the Ponds and part of the Cycle Trail. Robin has also
checked out another walk from there, walking in the Nature Reserve, so you
may choose on the Day! Afterwards we will eat in our favourite Pub, ”The
Rising Sun” at Moseley Green, Forest of Dean.

Monday 12th March

The restored Footpath around the Airport should be reopened on the
14th February, so we will meet at the Parish Offices in Parton road at
10:00 a.m. and try to complete this walk and retire to GL3 Hub in
Cheltenham Road East, Churchdown afterwards for something to eat and
drink.
